topher (pronouced tow - fer) | abstract artist
As a self-taught artist, I learned composition, style, balance, color theory and patterns by trial and error. Most of my pieces reflect that, which characterizes my signature style. I love texture and depth is painting. When I purchase materials, I keep this in mind. This love causes me to use a variety of tools, aside from the brush, to enhance and stimulate the viewer. I use whatever is near me at the moment (palette knife, cardboard, beads, sand, plastic) to create patterns in my work. These effects allow me to differentiate my body of work.
